The Pod R32 - Nissan Skyline R32 GTS Drift Car

A little info on Santa Pod's own Drift Car, that can be seen in action at several major events each year at Santa Pod Raceway as well as some DWYB days.

The car was originally built by world renowned tuning company Apexi in japan. It was then shipped to the UK and prepped for drifting and D1GB safety standards by UK tuning powerhouse Sumo Power.

The bodykit and 18" wheels are from Do Luck, and further 'Drift spec' set up by was done by Julain Smith at Garage D with parts supplied by HKS Europe.

The Engine was mapped by TweenieRob at Perfect Touch tuning on an HKS Fcon V pro. The RB20DET has been enhanced by an externally wastegated turbo from the Apexi AX series - helping to produce 430BHP @ 1.2bar of boost on pump gas.

In 2006 It was driven by ‘Stig’ and came in the top 10 in the D1GB Drift Series.

An hydraulic handbrake and twin plated clutch help the skyline to drift.

The stickers on the driver’s side are in reverse for 3 reasons.
1. So the car looks identical on both sides.
2. Its helps people identify the difference between a drift car and let’s say a circuit car or rally car.
3. So when looking in your own mirror the decals read the right way round.
